MEET the IB MYP Coordinator
Dana Browning has traveled to over twenty countries and four continents: Austria, Belgium, Belize, Cambodia, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Palestine, Poland, Russia, Tanzania, Turkey, Vatican, and Vietnam. She has over 15 years of experience in education, most recently having taught AP Human Geography at Lake Travis High School. She was also the director of their award-winning Model United Nations program. She has studied Spanish and Arabic. In 2017, she wrote a Human Geography edX MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) for the University of Texas at Austin. Dana holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography with a Minor in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin. She is the founder of the nonprofit Simon's Promise that works to increase educational development in Eastern Africa. Her family has hosted exchange students from all over the world, including Iraq, Japan, and Tanzania, and they look forward to hosting and traveling more in the future.
